Knowing the power of prayer, and trusting in the continued presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, we recognize that special times of prayer can be beneficial to all. Some of the greatest saints, who achieved great things for the Church and the world, spent a great deal of time in monasteries in prayer. Our Lord Himself drew to the desert to pray and to encounter the Father there. Moses in prayer before the Lord successfully petitioned for the good of the people and God heard his prayers. The Practice of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a way to sacrifice an hour of your time praying for the needs of our community and world. It is also a way to draw closer to the Lord and to be a more balanced person and a more effective minister to others.
We are happy to offer several regularly scheduled opportunities for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. within our parish.
Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: our Adoration Chapel is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm with the Blessed Sacrament exposed for prayer. Adorers are asked to use the marked door at the back of the convent to enter.
Every Tuesday evening from 7-8 there is a special Holy Hour and Rosary said for our Bishop and Parish Priests in the Adoration Chapel
Every Saturday evening from 5-7 there is adoration specifically for the intention of peace throughout the World in the Adoration Chapel.
Sundays at 11:30 am devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus is prayed in the Adoration Chapel
